I love the quiet pause before the bride walks down the aisle. It’s a singular moment even when the rest of a ceremony can become a blur in one’s memory, that quiet moment will stay with you.

Jen looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day. There is something so magical about that moment when the bride first turns to see herself in the mirror, all dressed up on her wedding day. Although there were so many neat photo ops at this wedding the most impressive thing there was the love that Bryan and Rachel had for each other and the love that their friends and family had for them. It was my pleasure to second shoot for Tiffany Axtmann at their wedding.

These are some of my favorite shots that I took as Ruthie’s second shooter back in January. As I was processing them I realized that I loved so many of them in black and white that I thought I would create a blog post dedicated solely to the black and white shots. Tom and Patti were married on a beautiful day in November. The sun was shining and Patti was radient. I loved when she entered the sanctuary. She took her time walking down the aisle, singing to God and to Tom. I looked over and he was singing too. It was a sweet wedding and then they were off to their honeymoon!

When Katie got married this summer I was super excited to fulfill her request of having some sister portraits taken on her wedding day. There is nothing like a sister’s love.

Earlier this summer I got the chance to visit Block Island for the first time! I went with the super fun Art Department from Providence Media for their 2nd Annual So Block Island Launch Party. Here are some personal photos of from the trip. Honestly, I didn’t realize how beautiful that little island was. I’m SO going back ;)

I loved Katie and Julio’s rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. It was outdoors at the ceremony sight with catering from Central Market. It was a beautiful night and I’m so grateful that I was able to share it with them. Can’t wait to post images from their wedding!
