I love the quiet pause before the bride walks down the aisle. It’s a singular moment even when the rest of a ceremony can become a blur in one’s memory, that quiet moment will stay with you.

These are some of my favorite shots that I took as Ruthie’s second shooter back in January. As I was processing them I realized that I loved so many of them in black and white that I thought I would create a blog post dedicated solely to the black and white shots. The morning of Ashley and Bryan’s engagement session was gloomy and rainy. And Ash and Bryan were really into the idea of traditional engagement portraits… So what do you do on a rainy morning on the East Side of Providence when you are supposed to be taking engagement photos? Go on a three mini field trips! We started off at the Providence Athenaeum, then headed over to the Edna Lawrence Nature Lab and finished it off with a visit to the Grand Gallery at the RISD Museum of Art. And then the sun came out (a little bit)! It was the perfect ending to a perfect morning.

I loved all of the vintage details at Tara and Louis’ wedding and the colors couldn’t have gone more perfectly with the venue! And it gets better. The guys got to hang out in the billiards room on the third floor of this lovely Victorian mansion. Thank you Ruth Eileen Photography for letting me second shoot this wedding with you.

About a month ago I was able to second shoot for Sarah Pudlo Photography. It was a lovely evening at the Brookside Country Club near the cape. Here are a few of my favorite images from the wedding.
