You can arrive there only by ferry or plane. The island is a beautiful and intimate location to host a destination wedding.
Dreamy and romantic, their day was full of life and laughter, family and college friends, in a charming New England setting. The colors of the day were influenced by soft watercolors and subtle nautical themes. The reception was held at the historical Sullivan House, surrounded by views of the Atlantic Ocean from all sides.

It was sweet getting to know Cate and Tom during their coastal engagement session in historic Bristol, RI. Did you know that this lovely little town boasts the longest running 4th of July parade in the U.S.? ~ Just a fun fact : )

We wandered around enjoying the lovely architecture, the beautiful light and the little harbor. This last photo that took, I snapped it on the way home, after the session. The fog was rolling in after we had had a beautiful, soft sunset. How does the saying go? If you don’t like the weather in Rhode Island… wait a minute ; )

I look forward to sharing Cate and Tom’s wedding day photos at Glen Manor!! Stay tuned!

Madeleine and Mark were married in Brookline Massachusetts on a sunny day in June. Their wedding day was full of love. It was a joy to see the coming together of these two sweet families. I wish you both many years of happiness. I simply adored this whimsical rustic and DIY winter themed wedding at Mount Hope Farm in Bristol, RI, designed by my dear friend, bride and RISD graduate Alli Coate. You can see more of her beautiful work here .

Alli got ready in the The Governor Bradford House, a Georgian-style house built in 1745.

Chris, the Groom, got ready in the North Pasture House. I loved the moody natural lighting that spilled through the windows of this 18th century post and beam cottage rescued from Maine by the Haffenreffer family.

We lucked out that day. There was freshly fallen snow but the temperatures stayed above freezing for our lovely bide and groom portraits! Mt. Hope Farm is a wondrous, whimsical, magical place to host your wedding!

Their wedding as well as their reception was held in the barn, decorated with creamy winter inspired lace, hints of mint and other sweet rustic details. I loved the homemade baked goods on the dessert table that the guest were given as favors.

Dinner wasn’t complete without sweet little ice cream sandwiches from Tricycle Ice Cream. And then line dancing to round out the evening!
