Romantic Fall Wedding at Ocean House | Watch Hill, RI

Lauren and TJ’s wedding was held at Ocean House this past Fall. It was the last wedding of the year that I second shot with Mike. These are my favorite photos from the day. I hope you enjoy! Letterpress postcard featuring Ocean House, wedding rings laid across it.

Lauren brought with her this darling little letterpress postcard featuring Ocean House so that we could photograph the rings on it. Wasn’t that a great idea? I love the above photo and how it symbolically incorporates both the couple and the venue.

One of the little details that I loved about the guest rooms at Ocean House were the monogramed pillows on the bed featuring the first letter of the guest’s last name. One of the bridesmaids (who was very helpful to me throughout the day!) called down to the concierge to have the pillow case switched to feature the first letter of Lauren’s new last name. They happily obliged! Thanks guys!

One of my favorite details to photograph on a wedding day is the bride in her dress. Lauren looked absolutely stunning in her sleeveless lace wedding gown. Her hair was tied back neatly in a classic chignon and I loved how natural her makeup looked. Arial view of the grounds and seaside of Ocean House at Watch Hill - Westerly RI

It was November but the weather was still pleasant enough to be outside. I loved the view from the guest room balcony.

The bridesmaids wearing elegant black dresses The bridesmaids looked effortlessly elegant in matching black floor length dresses, coordinating perfectly with the groomsmen who were all in handsome black tuxes. And I loved the understated elegance of the flowers that day.  Black tie wedding inspired boutonnières Fine art photojournalism - the groomsmen at Ocean House Portrait of the groom from a black itie wedding at Ocean House The Groom and his groomsmen - portraits at Ocean House Relaxed Groomsmen portrait by the sea Groomsmen relaxing on the beachfront of Ocean House Groom Ocean view at Ocean House Ocean House Wedding Groom Chaple The Bride walks down the aisle Ceremony Front of chaple Guest at wedding Exterior of Ocean House

This was my first visit to Ocean House in Watch Hill and I think it may be one of my new favorite historical wedding venues in Rhode Island. The atmosphere was a balance between elegant and casual, the prefect setting for a romantic seaside wedding. Did you know that Ocean House is one of only ten Forbes Triple Five-Star hotels in the world? And one of those five star ratings is assigned to the restaurant… So, as a Foodie I was a only a little jealous of the wedding guests… but as a Rhode Islander I was very proud to have another reason to brag about my little state.  Whimsical Mercury Glass Table Numbers from BHLDN

I love ending the blog post with this romantic and dreamy black and white photo of Lauren and TJ on the dance floor. Throughout the evening you could just see it in their eyes how much they loved each other. Best wishes to them both as they start their life together.
